The State Museum of Fine Arts is hosting an exhibition of paintings by Turkmen artists dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

The central part of the exhibition is occupied by Jumamurat Kurbanov’s triptych “Holiday”, in which the author depicted joyful youth strolling through evening Ashgabat, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Many artists combined the themes of the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic Magtymguly and the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence in their works. As an example, the source cites the work of Ayna Atamuradova, named after the poet's line Taze açylan güller, Bostana gozüm düşdi.

The monumental painting Çoh garaşan ajap eyýam gelipdir is a collective work of students of the State Academy of Arts. Its authors - Pavel Anahovsky, Aina Atamuradova, Jemal Baymuradova and Ogulay Haydarova - depicted the city of Arkadag against the backdrop of the majestic figure of Magtymguly, thereby combining in their painting the poet's dream and the reality of modern life of the Turkmens.
