1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the head of the Islamic Development Bank Mohammed Al Jasser, during which they discussed priority issues of bilateral cooperation. The head of the IDB confirmed the bank's readiness to strengthen long-term cooperation with Turkmenistan, which pursues a policy of positive neutrality and implements large-scale socio-economic projects. Over the 30 years of Turkmenistan's membership in the IDB, the bank has financed more than 20 important projects in such areas as healthcare, education, transport, communications and energy.
2. A delegation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Minister Azat Atayev is participating in the international exhibition “Huawei Connect 2024”, which is being held in Shanghai from September 19 to 21. The main purpose of the visit is to discuss cooperation in the field of digitalization of education. This year's forum is dedicated to the introduction of artificial intelligence in various sectors of the economy.
3. The International Scientific Conference “Achievements in Seed Production of Agricultural Crops and Prospective Tasks” has started its work in Ashgabat. The two-day forum, held at the “Yyldyz” hotel, brought together representatives of relevant ministries, departments and research centers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as other countries and the CIS Executive Committee. The key topics for discussion at the conference were the cultivation of high-yielding varieties of wheat, potatoes and other crops, as well as the exchange of best practices in seed production.
4. An event dedicated to Persian poetry and literature, as well as the memory of the famous Iranian poet Seyyed Mohammed Hussein Shahriyar, was held at the cultural center of the Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan. The event was attended by teachers and students majoring in Persian language and literature from leading Turkmen universities, as well as diplomats and representatives of the cultural community.
5. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of his inauguration as President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. In his message, the head of Turkmenistan stressed the importance of friendly relations between the two countries and expressed hope for their further strengthening in the interests of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Algeria.

6. British scientists have made a breakthrough in long-term data storage by recording the human genome on an innovative 5D crystal. This technology promises to preserve information for billions of years. The 5D crystal can hold up to 360 terabytes of data, including the complete structure of human DNA. The uniqueness of this carrier lies in its incredible resistance to extreme conditions: it can withstand temperatures up to 1000°C, direct impacts and cosmic radiation.
7. The fifth meeting of the Interstate Space Council of the CIS countries was held in Tashkent, where an important decision was made on the future chairmanship of this organization. According to the unanimous decision of the participants, Uzbekistan will chair the council in the period 2024-2025.

8. The Turkmenistan U-20 national football team has arrived in Uzbekistan for a training camp ahead of the 2025 Asian Cup qualifiers. The training camp, led by head coach Dovletmurad Annayev, will last until September 23, after which the team will travel to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the qualifiers. Turkmenistan is in group “I”, where it will face Japan, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar. These matches are crucial for the Turkmen team, as the team has never qualified for the Asian Cup U20 before. To advance to the final stage of the continental tournament, which will be held in China, the Turkmen team must take first place in the group or become one of the five best teams among the runners-up.
