Scientists have discovered a simple method for increasing job satisfaction

A group of scientists from Germany conducted a study, the results of which were published in the journal Acta Psychologica. They found that reducing the time spent on a smartphone can significantly improve the attitude towards work, reports gazeta.ru.

It was previously established that on average people spend more than three hours daily using mobile phones.

In the new experiment, the researchers divided the participants into four groups. The first group was asked to reduce their smartphone use by an hour a day. The second group had to exercise daily for at least half an hour. The third group did both tasks, and the fourth served as a control group and received no instructions.

Participants completed online questionnaires before, immediately after, and two weeks after the end of the experiment, assessing their professional well-being and psychological state.

The results showed that the groups that reduced their smartphone use experienced significant improvements in job satisfaction, motivation, work-life balance, and overall mental health.

In addition, participants in these groups reported a decrease in feelings of work overload and fewer symptoms of smartphone addiction. All interventions contributed to a decrease in signs of depression and an increased sense of control over their own lives.
