An unusual laptop with three screens from the American startup TriMax Pro has appeared on the Kickstarter platform. The device stands out not only for its two additional folding displays, but also for its unusual placement of the mechanical keyboard – under the touchpad. The project has already exceeded its fundraising goal, and the company has announced retail prices for the future product, gazeta.ru reports.
The TriMax Pro's main display is a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is complemented by two side 10,5-inch displays with a resolution of 1280 x 1920 pixels, oriented vertically. All three displays are touch-sensitive and have a brightness of 400 nits.
In the top configuration, the laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735 HS processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD drive. A more budget Barebone version based on the Intel Core i5-1235U is also available. The manufacturer claims six hours of battery life for both versions. The device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, has HDMI, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, is equipped with two speakers and a fingerprint scanner.
The barebone version is available for pre-order for 800 USD, while the AMD-powered version is available for 1000 USD. TriMax Pro is scheduled to ship in November 2024.
