Beyonce made an unexpected decision that surprised many of her fans. The artist refused to create music videos for songs from her recent albums, explaining this by her principled creative position, peopletalk.ru reports.
In an interview with GQ magazine, Beyonce revealed the reasons for her decision. According to the singer, known for her outstanding vocal skills, she wants listeners to focus on the sound component of her work.
This applies to both Renaissance, released in 2022, and Cowboy Carter, released in 2024.
“It's important that in an era of endless visuals, the world can focus on the voice. Music takes months to digest, explore and understand. It needs space to breathe on its own. Sometimes the visuals can distract from the quality”, - the singer explained.
