1. A meeting of the Board of Directors of TAPI Pipeline Company was held in the capital of Turkmenistan to review key aspects of the “Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India” gas pipeline project. The meeting participants emphasized the strategic importance of this large-scale energy project for the region and discussed further steps for its implementation. The Board of Directors emphasized the need to continue active work on the project and fulfill all envisaged measures for successful completion of the gas pipeline construction.

2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary. In his message, the head of Turkmenistan wished Lukashenko good health, well-being and happiness, as well as new successes in all endeavors for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Belarus.

3. From September 1 to 30, 2024, Turkmenistan will hold a large-scale month-long campaign under the slogan “Road Safety - Peace of our Lives”. The campaign will cover Ashgabat, Arkadag and all velayats of the country. The goal of the event is to educate citizens in the field of traffic rules, prevent violations and form a respectful attitude towards all road users.

4. The National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly hosted a festive concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet with great success. The best bagshy from all velayats of the country and from the city of Arkadag participated in the concert. Since the concert was conceived as a theatricalized action, the stage was decorated in the style of a Turkmen yurt.

5. Ashgabat hosted key negotiations on the development of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector between representatives of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In the course of a series of meetings, the parties conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current state of interaction in the energy sector and discussed promising areas for its expansion. Special attention was paid to the search for new opportunities for deepening the partnership between Ashgabat and Tashkent in the fuel and energy sector.

6. A series of important bilateral meetings with the delegation of Afghanistan were held in Ashgabat. During the talks, the Afghan side expressed deep interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan, noting the country's impressive progress in many areas. The discussions centered on strengthening mutually beneficial partnership in various sectors of the economy. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the implementation of large-scale joint projects.

7. The Namibian government has approved a plan to slaughter 723 wild animals to provide food for residents affected by the worst drought in decades. The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism announced that 83 elephants, 30 hippos, 60 buffalo, 50 impala, 100 blue gnu, 300 zebra and 100 antelope are among the animals to be shot. The shooting will be carried out in national parks and public areas with “sustainable game populations”. Professional hunters have been hired to carry out the task.

8. Annie Giudice, an 80 years old US resident, has entered her name into the Guinness World Records by becoming the oldest woman to hold the bar for more than three minutes. Her result was 4 minutes and 3 seconds. Judice, who will soon turn 81, leads an active lifestyle. She trains three times a week and shares her experiences on her blog, which has more than 65 thousand subscribers. Annie usually holds the bar for about a minute during her workouts. Annie got the idea to set the record in memory of her late husband Gary. During their 44 years of marriage, they raised three children and often competed against each other in the gym. This wasn't Judice's first accomplishment. At 75, she already holds the record as the oldest jump rope jumper. Now Annie plans to reach new heights, such as becoming the oldest person to hang from a bar for the longest time.

9. Legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been honored with the prestigious award as the top scorer in Champions League history. Ronaldo, who has played for clubs such as “Sporting”, “Manchester United”, “Real” and “Juventus”, set an impressive record by scoring 140 goals in 183 matches in the tournament. His achievements in the Champions League are truly phenomenal: five-time winner of the tournament, seven-time top scorer of the season, record holder for the most goals in a single season and the only player to have scored in three finals.
