A yurt has appeared in the capital of Karakalpakstan, Nukus (a republic within Uzbekistan), which has earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records. This structure, located in the Ok Kush (White Bird) complex, is recognized as the largest non-collapsible yurt in the world with a diameter of 40.5 meters.
Information about this achievement was distributed by the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, TASS writes.
The unique yurt, 22 meters high, was built by Orol Agro.
The Ok Kush complex is spread over an area of 50 hectares and includes an exhibition of various types of yurts, including examples from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Bashkortostan.
The ceremony of presenting the Guinness Book of Records certificate was held in the presence of the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes (Supreme Council) of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbayev.
It is worth noting that on August 20, a meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with more than 300 entrepreneurs from all regions of the country was held in this record-breaking yurt.
