1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on vacation, headed to the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone located on the picturesque coast of the Caspian Sea. Early in the morning, the head of state arrived at the capital's International Airport, from where he flew to the city of Turkmenbashy in the Balkan velayat. The President was seen off at the airport by officials. After some time, the presidential plane landed at the Turkmenbashy International Airport, where the head of Turkmenistan was given a warm welcome.

2. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who is on a visit to Ankara, held a meeting with President of Türkiye Recep Erdogan. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Türkiye from the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people. During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed.

3. The famous Turkmen carpet "Horse Run" is presented at the exhibition called "Carpet of Stories" that opened at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts in Moscow. The plot of the unique Turkmen carpet, woven in 1937 at the Ashgabat Carpet Factory, is dedicated to the legendary horse run of 1935, made on Ahal-Teke horses along the Ashgabat-Moscow route. Then a cavalry unit consisting of thirty riders covered a difficult 4300-kilometer route in 84 days. The historic run attracted public attention, and its participants deservedly became national heroes.

4. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Gurbandurdy Begenjov as the new director of the "Turkmenistan" TV channel of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. By another Resolution, the head of state dismissed Yagmyr Nuryev from his post as head of the TV channel "for health reasons". It should be noted that the "Turkmenistan" TV channel, created in 2004, broadcasts in seven different languages: Turkmen, Russian, English, French, Chinese, Arabic and Persian.

5. On August 18, Ashgabat will host a large-scale charity fair and festival Leto Bazaar, combining shopping and entertainment. The event will be held at the "Ak Altyn" hotel from 16:00. Entrance will be 20 manats, all proceeds will be donated to charity. Visitors will be able to purchase stylish second-hand clothes, dishes and unique handicrafts. Guests will also be able to transform the purchased items to their taste.

6. The annual festival "Kovun Sayli", dedicated to one of the most beloved delicacies of Uzbekistan - melon, has ended in the ancient city of Khiva. The event attracted the attention of both local residents and foreign guests. During the festival, more than 30 thousand foreign tourists and about 400 thousand guests from other regions of the country visited the Khorezm region. Based on the results of the festival, winners were determined in various nominations. The organizers also noted the achievements of the participants in the field of melon processing and storage, restoration of ancient Khorezm varieties, introduction of innovative technologies and cultivation of the most profitable and export varieties.

7. In Wales, the Royal Mint has opened a facility to recycle electronic components and circuit boards to recover the gold they contain. It is predicted that the volume of e-waste in the UK could rise from the current 50 million tonnes a year to 120 million tonnes by 2050. Global e-waste growth is 2,6 million metric tons annually. The resulting gold is used to make souvenir coins and jewelry. It is expected that up to 450 kg of gold will be recovered from 4000 tons of waste per year.

8. "Altyn Asyr" is preparing for the decisive match of the qualifying round of the second AFC Champions League. Today, Yazguly Hojageldiyev's team will meet Indian "East Bengal" away in Kolkata. A victory in this match will secure the Turkmen club a place in the group stage of the tournament. 9. Young athletes from Turkmenistan are preparing to participate in an international curling training camp, which will be held from August 16 to 24 in the Norwegian city of Lillehammer. The event will bring together young curlers from 14 countries, providing a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and develop skills in this Olympic sport.
