Turkmenistan

1. A telephone conversation took place between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. During the conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit Kazakhstan and take part in the sixth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, as well as the first Summit of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue, which will be held in Astana. Thanking his Kazakh counterpart for the invitation, the head of Turkmenistan respectfully accepted the invitation.

2. The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree appointing Guvanchmyrat Amangeldiyev as the new editor-in-chief of the “Berektli Toprak” newspaper. The previous editor-in-chief, Azat Jepbarov, was appointed head of the press service of the head of state last September.

3. The head of Turkmenistan signed a resolution appointing Gulendam Gurbanova as deputy hyakim of the Bereket etrap of the Balkan velayat. She will replace Dursadap Orazmammedova in this position, who was relieved of her duties.

4. Turkmenistan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of agriculture. This was the main outcome of the meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahalliyev and the leadership of Xinjiang. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including energy, education and medicine. However, special attention was paid to the agricultural sector.

5. The Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan continues to accept documents for the Youth Prize. Young citizens of the country aged 16 to 35 who have demonstrated significant achievements, creative and labor activity in various fields - literature, art, culture, science and technology, medicine, sports, agriculture, social activities are invited to participate. Those who have not previously received this award can apply for the award. Acceptance of documents will continue until September 15.

6. A large batch of clothes for students was sent to school bazaars in Turkmenistan by the Dashoguz garment factory “Cheper” of the country’s Ministry of Textile Industry. The factory is one of the permanent and active suppliers of school bazaars. The factory's assortment includes dozens of types of clothing for children and adults, bed linen and home textiles. Since the beginning of the year, the “Cheper” factory has already produced products worth more than 10 million manats.

7. Medical workers from Turkmenistan completed a four-week clinical training program at the Korean Medicine Hospital of Pusan National University. Program participants were able to gain knowledge and experience from professors from the departments of Korean medicine, rehabilitation medicine, and acupuncture medicine.

World

1. The annual world dog surfing championship took place at Linda Mar Beach in California. More than two dozen four-legged athletes from different countries competed in the tournament. Participants represented a variety of breeds and competed in categories based on their size. All dogs were provided with life jackets for safety. The main prize went to a Brazilian Labrador named Cacau.

2. From August 5 to 28, the next period of Mercury's retrograde movement begins, which, according to astrologers, can affect various aspects of our lives. This phenomenon is traditionally considered a time when one should exercise caution in making important decisions. 1. “Ahal” defeated the Saudi Arabian “Al-Ahdoud” with a score of 3:1 in a friendly match that took place as part of the preparatory training camp in Türkiye. Dayanch Meredov, Elman Tagayev and Meylis Diniyev scored goals for the winners. This victory was the third for the Turkmen team in a series of control matches at the training camp in Kartepe. The team of the Main Directorate “Turkmennebitonumleri” continues to actively prepare for the upcoming season. “Ahal’s” immediate plans include another test match on August 7 with the Iranian club “Gol Gohar”.

2. Turkmenistan is preparing to send its athletes to the Turkic World Muay Thai Championship, which will be held in Istanbul from August 14 to 18. The tournament is organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, TURKSOY and the Organization of Turkic States. The official opening of the tournament is scheduled for August 15.
