Turkmen judoka Serdar Rahimov successfully began his performance at the 2024 Olympics in Paris (France). In the preliminary round of the weight category up to 66 kilograms, he defeated Edmilson Pedro from Angola with a score of 10:1.
In the next round, Serdar Rakhimov will meet with the Brazilian Willian Lima, who won with a score of 1:0 over the representative of Uzbekistan Sardor Nurillaev.
Note that 20-year-old Rahimov is an Olympic debutant. Over the past two years, the athlete has won six medals at major international competitions. Among them is the first gold medal in the history of Turkmenistan at the prestigious World Grand Slam tournament “Dushanbe Grand Slam 2024” in Tajikistan.
