1. Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree, according to which the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyly Komekov was simultaneously appointed head of the diplomatic mission in the Republic of Cyprus with residence in Rome, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Malaysia Muhammetnyyaz Mashalov was simultaneously appointed ambassador to Indonesia with residence in Kuala Lumpur.https://turkmenportal.com/blog/80811/posol-

2. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov will lead the Turkmen delegation at the inauguration of the new President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. The corresponding Order was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting. The inauguration of the newly elected President of Iran will be held on July 30.

3. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution, according to which the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan is permitted to conclude a contract with the economic entity Parlak nesil to improve the software for calculating the estimated cost of construction. The document was signed “for the purpose of creating a State Information System for Pricing in Construction in Turkmenistan”.

4. “Turkmenistan” Airlines has published a new international flight schedule on its official website, valid until October 27 of this year. According to the updated schedule, the national carrier's aircraft will operate flights to 12 cities around the world. The frequency of international flights from Ashgabat per week will be: 2 flights to Dubai, Jeddah, Beijing, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, London, Frankfurt am Main and Milan, 1 flight to Abu Dhabi, 5 flights to Istanbul and 6 flights to Moscow.

5. Turkmenistan is preparing to hold the 37th meeting of the Consultative Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS Member States. The event is scheduled for October 17-18 this year in Ashgabat.

6. On August 19, the International Exhibition and Fair “Kids Expo: Everything for Children!” will open in Ashgabat. The exhibition will feature high-quality, environmentally friendly products for children, schoolchildren and students, educational materials, electronic goods from domestic and foreign companies.

7. During the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Pakistan this week, the parties discussed the issue of opening a department for the study of the Urdu language at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. During the talks, issues of cooperation in the social sphere were also touched upon. In particular, the possibility of sending Turkmen diplomats to courses organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Pakistan was discussed.

8. A new world record for the amount of venom released by a snake in one go has been set at the Australian Reptile Park. The hero of the event was a coastal taipan named Cyclone, which released 5,2 grams of the toxic substance, which is three times the normal amount for this species. Coastal taipans, which live in coastal areas of Australia and reach two meters in length, are known as one of the most venomous snakes in the world. The amount of venom released by Cyclone has the potential to poison up to four hundred people, which emphasizes the exceptional danger of these reptiles.

9. A large-scale event was held in the capital of Tatarstan – the international competition of BRICS Quran reciters. The event attracted participants from 22 countries, including the CIS, Africa, Asia and South America. The only nomination of the competition was skillful reading of the Muslim holy book. However, the jury assessed not only the accuracy of citation, but also the melody and rhythm of pronunciation.

10. Turkmen athletes took part in the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The Turkmenistan team sailed on a boat along the Seine under the 191st serial number after athletes from Türkiye. The Turkmen athletes were followed by the Tuvalu team at the ceremony. The order of the athletes' exit was arranged in accordance with the French alphabet. Judoka Serdar Rahimov became the flag bearer of the Turkmen team. The Turkmenistan team is represented at the Games by 6 athletes who will compete in four sports: judo, athletics, swimming and weightlifting.
