The Altyn Asyr football club from Ashgabat, which conducts training camps in the Romanian city of Brasov, successfully held its first international friendly match. The Turkmen team met with Metaglobus, representing the second division of the Romanian championship, Jankoyer.com.tm reports.
The match ended with a minimal victory for Altyn Asyr with a score of 1:0. The only goal was scored in the 22nd minute from a penalty kick by midfielder Murat Annaev.
This game became part of Altyn Asyr’s preparation for the upcoming qualifying round of the second AFC Champions League. The decisive match for reaching the group stage of the tournament will take place on August 14 in Kolkata, where the Turkmen team will meet with the Indian club East Bengal.
