1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made several personnel changes during an extended meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers. The head of state dismissed Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Education, Health, Sports, Youth and Public Organizations, due to his transfer to another job. Now this position will be taken by Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, before which she was the Minister of Education.

2. Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, who served as rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was appointed as the new minister.The university will now be headed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Gulshat Yusupova.

3. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also dismissed Resul Rejepov as Minister of Textile Industry due to his transfer to a new job. This position will be filled by Nurmuhammet Orazgeldiyev.

4. The chairman of the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography also changed; he became Meylis Rejepov, who had previously been the director of the “Ashgabat” TV channel. The former head of the State Committee, Arslan Ashirov, was relieved of his post for health reasons.

5. Farmers of Turkmenistan handed over more than 1 million 400 thousand tons of grain to the state, having successfully fulfilled contractual obligations for the procurement of food wheat.

6. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree “On increasing wages, pensions, state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees in Turkmenistan”. The document decides, from January 1, 2025, to increase by 10 percent the monthly wages of employees of budget-financed institutions, self-supporting enterprises and public associations, pensions and state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees.

The Turkmen crew of Maksatmyrat Danatarov from the team of the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan became the winner of the eighth stage of the “Silk Way” rally marathon in the T2 serial SUV category. Second place was taken by another Turkmen crew led by Merdan Toylyev, who was 13 minutes behind the winner, and the Russian crew of Andrei Sushentsov was third (19 minutes behind). The “Silk Way” rally finishes on July 15 in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.

10. The draw for the 2024 Turkmenistan Cup took place. Nine Major League teams will take part in the fight for the trophy this season: “Arkadag”, “Altyn Asyr”, “Ahal”, “Ashgabat”, “Shagadam”, “Nebitchi”, “Merv”, “Energetik” and “Kopetdag”. According to the tournament regulations, “Merv” and “Shagadam” will play in the preliminary round. The winner of this round will meet “Altyn Asyr” in the quarterfinals. Preliminary stage matches are scheduled for August 11 and 14. The current winner of the Turkmenistan Cup is “Arkadag”. Last year, Vladimir Bayramov’s team defeated the “Ahal” team with a score of 3:0 in the final match.
