1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers using the digital system, at which topical issues of the country’s life were discussed.
In particular, by the Decree of the head of state, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of India, Shalar Geldynazarov, was simultaneously appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Nepal with residence in New Delhi. And the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia, Esen Aydogdyev, was simultaneously appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Serbia with residence in Moscow.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also signed the Resolution “On approval of the Procedure for the development, implementation and financing of State scientific and technical programs". He also signed a Resolution according to which the Culture Week of Turkmenistan in 2025 will be held from June 22 to 27 in Ahal velayat.
2. On the afternoon of July 5, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in the Turkmen capital for a visit. At the Ashgabat International Airport, the head of the largest authoritative international organization was met by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Today the distinguished guest will visit the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and the office of the UN Representative Office in Turkmenistan. Within the framework of his visit, the UN chief will also take part in the opening celebrations of the Mirap building, which will be transferred to the UN Office in Turkmenistan.
3. The joint-stock commercial bank of Turkmenistan “Halkbank” plans to introduce a new “Digital Credit” system intended for individuals. The “Digital Credit” system will allow citizens of Turkmenistan to receive loans remotely via the Internet, which will significantly simplify the process of applying for loans and make banking services more accessible.
4. Within the framework of the development of cultural relations between Turkmenistan and Hungary, a number of significant events are planned to be held in Hungary from August 7 to 11, 2024. The delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the cultural event “Kurultay”, organized by the Hungarian side. The main events will be the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan and the grand opening of the bust of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
5. On July 7, Ashgabat will host elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to replace those who retired in three electoral districts of the capital. Voters will have to elect new deputies for constituencies No. 1 Garaşsyzlyk, No. 2 Bitaraplyk and No. 6 Köpetdag. Voting will take place at 60 polling stations from 7:00 to 19:00.

6. Reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian won the second round of the Iranian presidential election.
