1. Today the city of Arkadag celebrates its first anniversary of its opening. On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the residents of the city and all Turkmen citizens. In addition, the head of state signed a Resolution on the construction of the second stage of the “smart city”. In particular, the document permits relevant institutions and enterprises to enter into contracts with local construction companies. The decree prescribes the commissioning of all facilities with full readiness for operation in September 2026.
2. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the capital, where he got acquainted with the projects of healthcare facilities under construction. The National Leader of the Turkmen people visited the construction site of the International Rehabilitation Center and talked with Erman Ylycak, Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding. The head of the Halk Maslahaty got acquainted with the projects of several medical institutions and emphasized the importance of combining national traditions of architecture and modern technologies in construction. During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of the Charitable Foundation to provide assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. On the same day, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex in the city of Arkadag. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty inspected the conditions of keeping the horses and talked with the staff of the complex. During the visit, the National Leader took a horseback ride on a horse named Hanbek.
3. An exhibition of products and goods “Made in Turkmenistan” will be held in Tashkent on July 15-16, which will be organized as part of the meetings of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission and the Turkmen-Uzbek Business Council. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev reported about this at a government meeting. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan is a close partner of Turkmenistan and ordered proper preparation for the upcoming meetings.
4. The forum “Trade, Investment and Business Opportunities in Turkmenistan” will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 7-8. The forum will be organized as part of the World Exhibition dedicated to the oil, gas and energy industries, new technologies and advanced developments.
5. Starting from August 2024, “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency aircraft will operate flights between Ashgabat and Kuala Lumpur twice a week. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
6. The famous chain of fast food restaurants Black Star Burger, founded by musician and entrepreneur Timati, announced the opening of a new establishment in the capital of Turkmenistan. According to information posted on the official website of the brand, the launch of the restaurant is scheduled for autumn 2024 and will take place in the “Ashgabat” shopping and entertainment center.

9. A meeting between the head of the National Weightlifting Federation of Turkmenistan and the Director General of the International Weightlifting Federation took place in Lausanne. During the negotiations, the prospects for holding international and regional weightlifting tournaments in Turkmenistan, organizing training seminars with the involvement of foreign specialists, as well as issues of training athletes were discussed. It should be noted that an important outcome of the meeting was the official invitation of the Turkmen judge Chary Mamedov to work at the weightlifting competitions at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
10. The “Los Angeles Lakers” made a historic selection in the second round of the NBA Draft, taking 19-year-old Bronny James, son of the legendary LeBron. This event will mark the first time that father and son will play for the same team in the NBA.
