At the 14th international children's rhythmic gymnastics tournament Merry Caravan 2024 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Turkmen athletes won 29 medals.
Representatives from 10 countries took part in the competition, competing in individual and group programs. Turkmenistan was represented by 39 gymnasts aged 6 to 16 years from Ashgabat, Mary and Turkmenbashy. 29 of them returned home with awards: 18 gold, 10 silver and 1 bronze medal.
Gold medals were won by: Gurbanjemal Yagshimyradova, Mayagozel Amanova, Seyrana Hemrayeva, Eva Streltsova (exercise without apparatus), Sofia Benz, Amelia Benz, Reyhan Amanova, Mahym Gurbanova (group performance), Bogdana Kotukova (exercise with two apparatus), Sara Gulberdiyeva, Ada Aylin Gunaslan (hoop), Lolita Avanesova, Sara Hoja-Ahmetova (ribbon), Irina Kononova, Medine Akyeva, Amalia Alekperova (general performance), Leyli Batyrova, Fatima Kambarova (mace).
Silver medalists: Sofia Tavaratsyan, Ayna Akyeva, Yulia Maltseva (exercise without apparatus), Inara Hanova (ribbon), Gozel Gurbanova, Aysen Abdullayeva (hoop), Ayperi Garajayeva (mace), Aynur Tachgulyeva, Enay Hakyeva, Khalifa Javadova (group performance).
Selin Bashirova (hoop) received the bronze medal.
The team was prepared by the senior coach of the national team Fiza Aivazova and her assistants: Marina Kartashova (Mary), Irina Kostandyan (Balkan) and Elena Ustimova (Ashgabat).
