On June 24, in Hanoi, at the Ministry of Education and Personnel Training, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Vietnam Parahat Durdyev and the Deputy Minister of Education Nguyen Van Phuc.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, IIC reports with reference to Vietnam.vn.
Noting that there are traditionally good relations between both countries, the ambassador expressed Turkmenistan’s interest in developing educational ties, including through student exchanges and sending young people to study abroad.
In this regard, the Turkmen side invited the Ministry of Education of Vietnam to cooperate in the exchange of information regarding the education system, as well as international cooperation and school education programs, in the areas of testing, assessment and recognition of diplomas, quality management, in the field of IT and digital transformation.
Also, from Turkmenistan there was an offer to exchange experience and cooperate between research institutes, organize mutual visits of delegations and lecturers, and transfer of innovative techniques.
The ambassador also proposed intensifying contacts in the field of teaching Turkmen and Vietnamese languages for students of the two countries.
Having discussed key issues, the parties considered the possibility of preparing to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of education, the source notes.
