1. Today the Week of Turkmen Culture starts in the city of Arkadag. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message to cultural and art workers. Having warmly congratulated the participants of the Culture Week, the head of state wished them good health, family well-being and creative success.

2. The President of Turkmenistan held a regular meeting of the Government, at which a number of issues of public life were discussed. In particular, Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution, approving the Procedure for organizing and conducting state accounting of scientific programs, plans and reports on scientific activities. The document should contribute to more effective management of scientific activities in Turkmenistan.

3. In addition, the head of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure a high organizational level of the “Turkmenistan – UAE” business forum, which will be held on June 25 in Ashgabat. The forum will be attended by companies specializing in the fields of energy, digital technologies, trade, agriculture, food industry, construction and tourism.

4. On June 26, the world-famous Russian musical group “Turetsky Choir” will visit the capital of Turkmenistan. The performances will be held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Spectators can expect two concerts: at 16:00 and 19:00. Entry to concerts is strictly by invitation only.

5. On June 21, International Yoga Day was celebrated in the capital of Turkmenistan. The Indian Embassy organized a massive master class at the Olympic stadium in Ashgabat, which brought together about a hundred participants. The event was attended by the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Myrat Mammedov. Participants included local yoga enthusiasts, representatives of the diplomatic corps and Indian embassy staff.

6. On June 24-25, the National Olympiad in mental arithmetic among schoolchildren will be held in Ashgabat. The event, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, will be held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. 110 talented schoolchildren aged 6 to 14 years old, selected from various regions of the country, will take part in the final stage of the Olympiad.

7. In Japan, a 45 years old gardener named Yoshiharu Watanabe exceeded all expectations by growing a clover with 63 petals on his property. This achievement became a new world record and entered Watanabe's name in the Guinness World Records. The path to the record began in 2012, when a gardener, obsessed with the idea of breaking the record for the number of petals, began diligently caring for clover in his garden. He painstakingly applied various methods, combining natural and manual pollination. Despite the difficulties and setbacks, Watanabe did not give up, and his perseverance was eventually rewarded.

8. A reconstruction of the first battles of the Great Patriotic War and the defense of the citadel was held in the Brest Fortress. 500 reenactors from Belarus, Russia and other countries recreated the events of June 22, 1941. This year the reconstruction program has become even more ambitious. The script was expanded and supplemented with new episodes.

9. Turkmen fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov won a fight with Cameroonian Simon Biyong at the PFL 5 tournament in Salt Lake City. The fight lasted all three rounds and ended with Yagshimuradov winning by unanimous decision. Thanks to this victory, the Turkmen fighter secured his participation in the playoffs of the PFL Grand Prix, where his opponent will be the Australian fighter Rob Wilkinson.

10. A Turkmen flag was spotted at the group stage match of the European Football Championship between the national teams of the Netherlands and France. The meeting, held in Leipzig, ended in a goalless draw. The flag of Turkmenistan was captured several times in the live broadcast on the “Match TV” channel. This game was the first in the tournament without scoring goals. The Netherlands and France are in the lead in Group D with 4 points each. Next come the teams of Austria and Poland.
