Kononenko has been in space since September 15, 2023, arriving at the ISS on the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft as part of the ISS-70/71 expedition together with Nikolai Chub and American Laurel O’Hara.

It Is expected that at the end of the year-long expedition (return to Earth is planned for September 23, 2024), Kononenko’s total flight time will be 1 110 days.

To date, Oleg Kononenko has completed seven spacewalks (including the spacewalks on October 25, 2023 and April 25, 2024 during the fifth flight) with a total duration of 44 hours and 30 minutes.

On June 21, Oleg Kononenko turns 60 years old. As a gift, chocolates from the Red October factory specially made for this occasion will be delivered to the ISS.
