Athletes of Turkmenistan won two gold and two silver medals at the World Kyokushin Karate Championships that ended in Jakarta (Indonesia), “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
The competition brought together 340 athletes from 13 countries.
In the Turkmenistan team, which was represented at the World Championship by 8 athletes, Dayanch Gylychdurdyev (weight category up to 65 kg) among men and Ogulbagt Kurbanova (over 65 kg) among women received the highest awards.
And the winners of silver medals were Gulnabat Yazylova (up to 55 kg) and Ayimjan Sultanova (up to 65 kg).
