The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Health and Medical Industry Myrat Mammedov, took part in the 77th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva under the motto “Everything for health, health for all”, - the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
During the speech, the Turkmen side emphasized the country’s efforts to maintain the health of the population and ensure equal access to quality medical care for all citizens.
The agenda of the session addresses current health issues, including universal health coverage, prevention of non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, implementation of the 2030 Immunization Action Program, ensuring effective health protection during emergencies, as well as social, economic and environmental aspects affecting the processes of ensuring health protection.
The work of the 77th World Health Assembly will last until June 1, 2024.
