1. In Ashgabat, a meeting was held between the Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues, Ashirguly Begliyev, with the head of the local branch of the Chinese company CNPC and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the progress of implementation of existing gas agreements, as well as prospects for cooperation, including the project for the second stage of the Galkynysh field.
2. The opening of direct flights between Turkmenistan and Qatar was discussed at a meeting in Ashgabat by representatives of the “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency and the charge d'affaires of the State of Qatar in Turkmenistan. Particular attention at the negotiations was paid to the possibility of establishing direct and transit flights. There was a proposal to organize promotional campaigns for Qatar Airways in Turkmenistan, including information about tariffs and services.
3. On the eve of the summer season, the “Automobile Transport Services” enterprise is launching daily bus services on the route Ashgabat - Avaza - Ashgabat. The flight will start operating on June 1. The bus will depart from the International Bus Station to Choganly at 6 am. A one-way ticket will cost travelers 75 manats.
4. The Turkmen delegation, consisting of cultural and art workers from Mary velayat, took part in the International Festival “Shashmakom”, which was held in Dushanbe. The forum was dedicated to the prospects for the development of traditional music of the peoples of the Near and Middle East. Master classes were presented by Turkmen bagshy Maksat Atayev and Sazandar Mergen Jumayev. They performed the folk song Näzli gelin.
5. The state concern “Turkmengaz” has replenished its fleet of specialized equipment with new bulldozers, excavators and loaders produced by the Chinese company Zoomlion. The first batch of equipment has already arrived at the Mary base № 2 of the supply department for production facilities of the concern. The new machines will be used in the development of fields for drilling, construction and installation work.
