President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tanryguly Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims, at which the progress of seasonal field work in the country was reviewed, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
It was noted that the country's cotton growers, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, carry out inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation of cotton crops. This work effectively uses agricultural machinery and equipment.
Preparations are underway for the organized holding of the grain harvesting season without losses and on time.
To increase the yield of potatoes, vegetables and melons, as well as to provide the population with these products in full, these crops are currently being cared for and harvested.
Along with this, the care of silkworm cocoons, their preparation and delivery to the state continues.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the tasks facing the agricultural complex, instructing that preparations for the organized start of grain harvesting and compliance with agrotechnical requirements when caring for cotton crops be kept under review.
The head of state once again emphasized the importance of current seasonal work and instructed to ensure proper care of crops, as well as to continue work to prevent the appearance of agricultural pests in the country’s fields.
