The Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat held a meeting with members of the Turkmen youth delegation, which visited India from March 4 to 14 to participate in the Youth Forum within the framework of cooperation between India and Central Asia.

Turkmenistan took part in this event for the first time. 20 talented young professionals from various fields visited Indian cities, universities and cultural attractions for 10 days, immersing themselves in the unique atmosphere of the country.

“As part of the India-Central Asia platform, we organized a program for the exchange of youth delegations, and Turkmenistan took part in it for the first time,” Indian Ambassador Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat noted in an interview with a Turkmenportal correspondent. – We are glad that the Turkmen government has formed a delegation of promising young professionals to participate in our program.

This program is held annually, and next year a repeat visit of the Turkmen delegation is expected, since youth are the future of our countries. The Government of Turkmenistan was given the opportunity to select participants from various organizations, ministries, higher educational institutions and other structures.

“We are pleased that Turkmenistan sent a delegation from various sectors, which enriched their experience and knowledge of India,” added Ambassador Bhagat.

During the meeting, members of the Turkmen delegation shared their impressions of the trip. They noted the hospitality and cordiality of the Indian people, and also expressed admiration for the cultural attractions, jewelry and culinary traditions of India.

Maksat Bugraev, acting dean of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, spoke about the cooperation of Turkmenistan with India at the institute level: – Every year, for two semesters, our students of the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Literature, studying the Hindi language, are studying at universities in India. This positive experience has been going on for several years. Many graduates who studied in India remain to work at the institute and pass on the acquired skills and competencies to the next generation of students.

“The Indian side is always open to our initiatives and ideas, so the potential for cooperation is huge, and it needs to be realized,” emphasized the acting dean of TNIME named after D. Azadi.

At the end of the official part of the meeting, the Ambassador of India invited the guests to taste traditional Indian treats, immersing themselves in the gastronomic diversity of this ancient culture.
