The Ombudsman of Turkmenistan took part in an international seminar on human rights

From April 15 to 19, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Commissioner for Human Rights - Ombudsman Yazdursun Gurbannazarova participated in an international seminar for the offices of ombudsmen of the Central Asian states, held in Finland. The main goals of the event were the development of international partnerships in the field of human rights and the study of effective human rights practices, writes VestiAbad.

The seminar was organized jointly by the Council of Europe, the Rule of Law Center at the University of Helsinki and the Ministry of Justice of Finland. The ombudsmen of the Central Asian states made reports highlighting important aspects of their activities and the results achieved. The first day of the seminar ended with lively discussions on topical issues raised in the speeches of the speakers.

As part of the visit to Finland, the delegation of Turkmenistan also visited the country's parliament, the office of the Ombudsman, the Supreme Administrative Court, the offices of the Prosecutor General and the Chancellor of Justice. These meetings provided an opportunity to get acquainted with European experience in the field of human rights protection.

The seminar became an effective platform for discussing important topics in the field of human rights protection, exchanging opinions of the ombudsmen of the Central Asian states on current affairs and presenting successful cases of human rights activities. Participants were able to deepen their knowledge and establish cooperation in this important area.
