The international hockey tournament, held for a week at the Ashgabat Winter Sports Complex, ended with the victory of the Turkmen team “Galkan”.
In the final game, the hosts of the competition won a strong-willed victory over the ORHIS-Kazan club from the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation with a score of 4:2 and became owners of gold medals.
At the closing ceremony of the competition, the Galkan hockey players were awarded the Cup and gold medals, and the ORHIS-Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) and Volat (Belarus) teams received silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The judges who served the tournament and its best players were also awarded special prizes. They were recognized as: goalkeeper Yaroslav Lagun (“Volat”), defender Musa Annasaparov (“Galkan”) and forward Aidar Miftahov (“ORKHIS-Kazan”).
The international ice hockey tournament was held from April 15 to 20 at two ice arenas of the Winter Sports Sports Complex with the participation of club teams from Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
