WHO trainings to strengthen the capacity of the health information system have started in Turkmenistan

Activities organized by the WHO Representative Office to strengthen the capacity of the national health information system have started in Turkmenistan.

In particular, yesterday a seminar was held to exchange experience on strengthening and digitalization of health information systems.

From April 18 to 19, a comprehensive training course will be held on entering data into the WHO tool for analyzing data collection in accounting and reporting forms of the health care system of Turkmenistan. The training course will provide participants with hands-on experience entering data into the WHO tool. This hands-on training will provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively use the data analysis and reporting tool.

The seminar and training course will be conducted by digital health specialists from the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan, as well as experts from the Federal State Budgetary Institution TsNIIOIZ of the Russian Ministry of Health, which is the WHO Collaborating Center in the field of digital health.

The workshop and training course will focus on promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals and stakeholders involved in health information systems. By sharing best practices, event participants will explore innovative approaches to improving the efficiency, accuracy and digitalization of medical data management.

High quality and timely availability of health information is an essential component of a responsive national health care system and is essential for rapid and informed decision making. WHO is committed to supporting Member States in strengthening this area, which has been recognized as a priority area for WHO.
