From April 7 to 14, a creative group led by the director of the Turkmenfilm film studio, Sahysalykh Bayramov, will shoot a new documentary about Magtymguly Fragi in India.
According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the creative concept of the film was prepared by Rahymberdi Annagulyev.
Filming will be held in places associated with the Turkmens and poets Magtymguly and Bayram Han, the guardian and mentor of Akbar, the ruler of the Mughal Empire. Filming locations include New Delhi's Turkmen Gate, built in the 17th century to honor Turkmen warriors, as well as other famous Indian monuments.
The film will include episodes filmed at the National Library of India, interviews with scientists from Indian universities studying the creative heritage of Magtymguly. The poetic outline of the film will be Magtymguly’s poems, in which India is often mentioned.
Let us remind you that filmmakers of the Turkmenfilm Association named after Oguzhan are preparing a series of documentaries for the 300th anniversary of the classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, which have already been filmed in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Astrakhan region of Russia.
