Agronomists of the Turkmen Agricultural University held an online lecture for students and teachers of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology, Hospitality and Sports of Astrakhan State University (ASU) named after V.N. Tatishchev about the peculiarities of growing and processing Turkmen melon, the press service of the Russian university reports.
Turkmen specialists shared scientific and production data on the cultivation of various varieties of melon in the natural and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan. They also highlighted methods of processing melons for preparing food products.
Scientists spoke about the medicinal properties of melon described in the work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan”.
ASU teachers expressed interest in holding joint scientific and methodological seminars in related fields of knowledge.
There is a cooperation agreement between ASU and the Turkmen Agricultural University. Within its framework, scientific conferences, student competitions and other events in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres are held.
