Results of the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on March 29

On March 29, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the agenda of which included current topics relating to various areas, including housing construction, finance, energy, transport, agriculture and legislative initiatives.

Decree on pardon on the occasion of the approaching sacred Night of Omnipotence of 356 citizens of Turkmenistan.

Announcements of upcoming events

On April 3–5, an exhibition of the trade complex of Turkmenistan will be held at the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On April 7, celebrations will take place in honor of World Health Day - a mass bike ride and awards for the best Turkmen athletes.

On April 15–19, the delegation of Turkmenistan will take part in the UN General Assembly Sustainable Development Week in New York.

On April 23, Turkmenistan will organize a parallel event to the ECOSOC Forum, “Ministerial Dialogue on Financing the Sustainable Development Goals”.

In April there will also be:

• celebrations in honor of Oraza Bayram (April 10) and the National Turkmen Horse Day (April 28),
• opening ceremony of the Tejen-Mary section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway and the Ene mähri medical center in Mary after reconstruction,
• concerts of a cappella groups from the USA and Turkmenistan at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly and the State Music and Drama Theater named after Nurmuhammet Andalib in Dashoguz.

Construction

Twenty 9-storey modern residential buildings, designed for 864 families, as well as a secondary school with 720 seats, a park and adjacent roads will be built in the Parahat-7 residential area in Ashgabat.

Finance and Economics

The state share in the authorized capital of JSC Sanly ykdysadyýet innovasion merkezi will be privatized. The structure is engaged in wholesale trade, attracting investments and entrepreneurial activities.

Fuel and Energy Complex

The “Turkmenneft” State Concern will purchase pipe products for their use in drilling, development and overhaul of oil wells.

Transport and logistics

The association of driving schools and the public association “Association of International Road Carriers of Turkmenistan” will jointly create a training center that will be accredited by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) for the professional training of drivers and operators of vehicles engaged in international transport.

Agriculture

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Government to pay special attention to collecting water in the country’s reservoirs in order to provide it to agricultural crops in sufficient quantities.

Activities of Parliament

At the next meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, it is planned to consider draft laws on energy saving and energy efficiency, hydrometeorological activities, international road transport with China, as well as make changes and additions to the Civil Procedure Code, some legislative acts, the Family Code, the Land Code and the Law on Veterinary Affairs of Turkmenistan.
