1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the armed attack and explosion that occurred in the city of Krasnogorsk in the “Crocus City Hall” concert hall, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. At this difficult moment, on behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the head of Turkmenistan conveyed words of empathy and support to all the relatives and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.
2. An important agricultural campaign has begun in Turkmenistan - sowing cotton. In accordance with the schedule, on March 20, cotton growers of Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats began sowing. Farmers of Dashoguz velayat will join them on March 27. By the beginning of sowing, selected cotton seeds were prepared in the country, characterized by early ripening, increased yield, length and purity of the fiber. Within the framework of the celebrations marking the start of the sowing campaign, exhibitions of agricultural machinery and products of processing enterprises were organized. Musical and folklore and choreographic groups of the velayats prepared creative gifts for cotton growers.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania Annamammet Annayev met with the Minister of Culture of Romania Raluca Turcan, with whom he discussed issues of organizing joint events in the field of culture. During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the current agreement on cultural cooperation between the two countries. The Romanian side expressed interest in participating in events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
5. Recently, during a meeting of the Turkmen delegation with the leadership of the City Hall of Rome, a document was signed on holding an archaeological exhibition of Turkmenistan in the Capitoline Museum in 2025. The parties noted the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy in various directions with an emphasis on cultural and humanitarian ties. At the same time, successful long-term interaction between countries in the field of archeology and the maintenance of cultural heritage was noted.
6. On the territory of “Nowruz Yaylasy” in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, where the festive events took place, a small porcupine was born, which immediately received the name Novruz. A pair of porcupines were among the animals on display at the festival, listed in the Red Book of Turkmenistan. According to popular belief, if a baby of an endangered species is born with the advent of Nowruz, then this year will bring prosperity and happiness.
