A resident of the city of Dashoguz, Amansoltan Kakabayeva, celebrated her 102nd birthday on March 8.
As the vestiabad publication reports with reference to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, representatives of the velayat trade union association congratulated the centenarian on this significant date, presenting valuable gifts and flowers.
Amansoltan Kakabayeva was born in 1922 in a village located on the territory of the Akdepe etrap, Dashoguz velayat, into a simple peasant family. From early morning until late evening, she worked in the fields to feed herself and her family.
Years later, she got married and moved to the city. With her husband Kakabay, who worked for many years in the public catering system, she raised two daughters and three sons. The centenarian has 37 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helping each other every day, providing attention and support are the main life principles of the owner of a large and friendly family. Amansoltan taught her daughters and daughters-in-law to weave carpets, felt felts, spin yarn on a spindle and weave alaja.
“I’m happy that I didn’t live my life in vain, devoting it to the most noble cause - raising children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” Amansoltan Kakabayeva shared her secret of happiness.
She rightfully enjoys well-deserved respect. Despite her advanced age, the centenarian has maintained a positive attitude in life, which she never tires of sharing with people, the source notes.
