1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Mark Bowman. During the meeting, the head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening and building up mutually beneficial international cooperation, including productive ties with reputable financial institutions and banking structures. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the meetings and negotiations with Turkmen colleagues scheduled within the framework of the current visit of the EBRD Vice President to Ashgabat would contribute to further development of bilateral economic relations.
2. A concert of Turkmen art and culture figures dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding classic of Oriental literature Magtymguly Frahi was held in Yerevan. The concert featured classical and folk Turkmen music. The concert was opened by Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Armenia Muhammetgeldy Ayazov and Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Artur Martirosyan.
3. Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova received credentials from Ambassador of the Republic of Panama Rolando Enrique Barrow Noad. During the conversation, Gulmanova briefed the Panamanian ambassador in detail on the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, in which an important place is given to expanding fruitful ties with all interested countries, including Latin American states. Much attention was also paid to the implementation of large-scale socio-economic programs and investment projects initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and aimed at the steady growth of the well-being of Turkmen people.
4. A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov signed three international documents during a working visit to Austria. Thus, they signed the Programme of Cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Austria for 2024-2025, the Basic Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and UNIDO, as well as the Memorandum between the Oguz han University of Engineering Technologies of Turkmenistan and the Technical University of Graz.

6. More than 10 000 Prague residents have signed a petition demanding that new streets and parks be named in honour of the heroes of John Tolkien's fantasy epic “The Lord of the Rings”. The initiative concerns a new residential area being built on the island of Rohan, north of the historic city center. The name of the island coincides with the name of the kingdom from Tolkien's book, which inspired the idea. The Prague City Hall has previously proposed to immortalize the names of famous philosophers in street names, but residents believe that the characters from “The Lord of the Rings” are more symbolic for the new district.
7. The Japanese have introduced an office “arm-pillow” - an invention created for comfortable sleep at the workplace. The pillow comes with a special bag for transporting it to the office. It is noteworthy that in Japan, napping at work is considered a norm and an indicator of productive work. Such sleep even has its own name – “inemuri”.

8. Ruslan Mingazov, a midfielder of Hong Kong football club “Kitchee”, will go to the disposition of the Turkmen national team next week. This was reported to Turkmenportal by the press service of the Turkmen team. On March 17, Mingazov will take part in the match of the 12th round of the Hong Kong championship against “Sham Shui Po”. Let us remind that on March 12, Turkmenistan's national team under the leadership of Mergen Orazov went to a training camp in Dubai, where preparations for the World Cup-2026 qualifying matches against Iran began. Turkmenistan played a friendly match against Kazakhstan on March 14. The game was held in closed mode, and Magomed Adiyev's players won 2-0.
