1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of the second stage of the Lebap cement plant with a capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year in the Koytendag etrap of Lebap velayat. The new plant will provide high-performance, cost-effective and environmentally friendly production of cement needed for construction in Turkmenistan.
2. During the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States in Ashgabat, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the humanitarian sphere as a priority area of joint work. According to the head of the highest body of people's power of Turkmenistan, the Turkic peoples are united by a common language, culture and historical roots. He emphasized the need to remain faithful to these roots, family values, respect for elders, following traditions and customs, showing patriotism and a sense of duty. Along with strengthening friendship and mutual understanding, the most important task is to educate young people in the spirit of love for the past and pass on to them a thousand-year-old spiritual heritage.
3. Delegates from Turkmenistan took an active part in the World Youth Festival in Sochi, which was held on the federal territory of “Sirius”. The Turkmen delegation included representatives of the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the University of Oil and Gas, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after Pushkin, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the country, UNICEF and the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat. The Turkmen delegation presented national costumes, musical instruments, jewelry and traditional souvenirs at the stand of the Fair of Arts and Folk Arts, which brought together representatives from more than 150 countries.
4. Turkmenistan made a proposal to the Austrian business community to participate in the development of oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea during a meeting of the country's delegation with representatives of the Austrian business community, held at the Economic Chamber of Austria in Vienna. At the event, the Turkmen side confirmed its commitment to the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project for the supply of natural gas to Europe. As the Turkmen delegates noted, a systematic partnership with the European Union has already been built in this area.
5. On March 17, the elections of the President of the Russian Federation will be held. The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan provided detailed information about the voting process for citizens of the Russian Federation located on the territory of Turkmenistan. On election day, March 17, from 8:00 to 20:00, 5 polling stations will be open in different cities of Turkmenistan - Ashgabat, Turkmenbashy, Turkmenabad, Mary and Dashoguz. To participate in voting, citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of 18 must present a valid Russian passport (domestic, foreign, official or diplomatic). If you lose your passport, you are permitted to present a certificate of entry/return to the Russian Federation. Remote electronic voting is not provided for Russians in Turkmenistan. A machine learning algorithm interprets these signals and generates speech. The patch was tested on 8 volunteers. It successfully recognized phrases 95% of the time. The device worked even while driving.

The head coach of the Turkmenistan national team, Mergen Orazov, on the eve of the friendly game with Kazakhstan, spoke about the final composition of the team and preparations for the matches with Iran. – We called players to the training camp who are now in optimal shape and fit our tactics. The last quarter-finalist of the tournament was the Spanish football club “Atletico”, who beat the Italian “Inter” in a penalty shootout in the 1/8 finals. In another match of the day, the German “Borussia” Dortmund beat the Dutch PSV at home. Previously, the English “Arsenal” and “Manchester City”, the Spanish “Barcelona” and “Real Madrid”, the German “Bayern” Munich and the French “PSG” reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League. 10. Kyrgyz “Abdysh-Ata”, for which Turkmen football players Teymur Charyev and Suleyman Muhadov play, won an away victory with a score of 3:1 over Taiwanese “Taichung Futuro” in the second match of the interzonal semi-final of the AFC Cup. Charyev entered the game in the starting lineup, and Muhadov appeared on the field in the 61st minute, replacing Ernist Batyrkanov.
