The Zenit football club from St. Petersburg successfully completed its pre-season training camp in the United Arab Emirates. In the final control match in Abu Dhabi, the “blue-white-sky blues” met with Ashgabat “Altyn Asyr”.
The meeting was held behind closed doors and ended in favor of the Russian team with a score of 2:0, writes Sport-Express.
After the game, Zenit head coach Sergei Semak greeted the fans from Turkmenistan:
“Dear Turkmen fans! Greetings from the friendly club Zenit to you from the UAE. We will be glad to see you as our guest, and we will come to visit you. Good luck to you in everything!”
It should be noted that Altyn Asyr continues preparations in the UAE for the new season of the Major League of Turkmenistan 2024. Today, February 28, Yazkuli Khojageldyev’s team will play another friendly match against the local club Dubai City.
In the opening match of the new season, Altyn Asyr will play at home against Shagadam on March 4. The exact start time of the game will be announced later.
Earlier, during the training camp in the UAE, Altyn Asyr played two friendly matches, losing to Lokomotiv Moscow 0:2 and Torpedo 1:4.
