At the age of 96, Tamás Deák, a Hungarian composer whose name is inextricably linked with the beloved animated series “Nu, Pogodi!”, has passed away. This was reported by octagon.media with reference to MTI.
Deak has created more than 120 melodies for cartoons and television shows. He is called one of the pioneers of jazz music education in Hungary.
But it was the playful composition “Water Skiing”, which became the screensaver “Nu, Pogodi!”, that brought him worldwide fame. For decades, the easily recognizable melody has been giving millions of viewers a boost of fun and anticipation of new adventures of the Wolf and the Hare.
