The VI Conference of Judges of Turkmenistan was held yesterday at the Adalat Palace. The forum was attended by representatives of the Supreme and Arbitration Court, judges of velayat, city and etrap courts, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The conference participants considered priority tasks for further improving the activities of the country's judicial authorities. There have been significant judicial advances in various areas.
Particular attention was paid to the practical steps taken in order to implement the tasks defined in the “Program for the Development of the Judicial System of Turkmenistan for 2022–2028”, approved on July 5, 2022 by the Resolution of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country. According to the document, specific measures are being implemented to improve the principles of justice and legal proceedings, ensuring impartial and independent judicial decisions in accordance with national legislation and generally recognized norms of international law.
Great importance is also given to improving the professionalism and legal culture of judicial officers.
Among the issues discussed were long-term plans for the implementation of measures provided for by the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2019–2025. In this context, emphasis is placed on the importance of actively introducing a digital system into the activities of judicial institutions in accordance with the requirements of the time, as well as providing modern technical means.
