In the capital of Turkmenistan, preparations are underway for the opening ceremony of the cultural and park complex named after the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi and the installation of a monument to the classic, Deputy Prime Minister Mahrijemal Mammedova said at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, writes the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, it is planned to place sculptures of famous foreign writers and wordsmiths on the territory of the complex. As the head of state emphasized, these monuments to foreign cultural figures will become a symbol of Turkmenistan’s respect for universal human values.
The opening of the cultural and park complex is timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi. The President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carefully study the presented draft designs for future sculptures of outstanding foreign poets and writers.
