Turkmen students immersed themselves in the legal system and culture of Japan

Students from Turkmenistan took part in a week-long educational trip to Tokyo within the framework of the MIRAI “Rule of Law” youth exchange program, organized by the Japan Center for International Cooperation for university students from Central Asia, writes the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Students attended lectures, seminars and master classes in public and private legal institutions in Japan, becoming familiar with the peculiarities of the country's legal system. In addition, a rich cultural program allowed them to plunge into the history, traditions and spiritual life of the Japanese people.

Participants of the trip from Turkmenistan were Novruz Nurberdiyev and Dursunjemal Yylkybayeva from the International University of Humanities and Development, as well as Serdar Rahimov from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. They attended lectures at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Keio University, law firms, the Supreme Court and other institutions.

In addition to the educational component, students visited the cultural sights of Tokyo, got acquainted with national cuisine and traditions, including the tea ceremony and a trip to Mount Fuji. This permitted them to better understand the history and culture of Japan.

On the final day, Turkmen participants made presentations at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, sharing their knowledge and experience. In addition to educational benefits, the program contributed to the establishment of friendly contacts between young professionals from different countries.
