The opening ceremony of the Resource Center for Turkmen-German Comparative Law took place at the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Turkmenistan, the Regional Program of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) “Promoting legal statehood in Central Asia,” as well as relevant departments of the country and university researchers.
According to TDH, the Resource Center was created on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the legal field, signed between the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and GIZ. As part of the opening ceremony, the corresponding Regulations on this Center were signed.
Its main objectives are to carry out scientific research in the field of comparative law; assistance in improving the qualifications of specialists in civil, civil procedural, administrative, administrative procedural law; joint development of scientific and practical legal literature; conducting consultations on improving legislation.
Together with the Regional Program of the German Society for International Cooperation, the Center is equipped with specialized literature and the formation of its library collection, and the maintenance of relevant equipment in proper condition.
To solve these problems, it is planned to organize scientific and practical seminars with the participation of national and international experts.
The main activity of the Resource Center is the development of interaction between scientific and educational institutions of Turkmenistan and Germany. Thus, its creation and opening will serve to further strengthen productive bilateral contacts and enrich their content.
