International master of sports in combat sambo, three-time World Cup winner, Asian champion and world champion in pankration, Turkmen fighter Abdulla Babayev entered into an agreement with the promotion company Fight Nights Global.

Abdulla Babayev is a representative of the sports organization Gala Sports Management. The debut fight of the Turkmen athlete within the framework of the Fight Nights Global tournament will take place on February 23 in Moscow. His opponent has not yet been named, but will be announced soon.

Babayev’s preparation for his debut fight in the professional arena is being carried out by the legend of Turkmen MMA Rustam Kurayev, who has more than 30 fights in mixed martial arts.

– Signing a contract with Fight Nights Global opens up broad prospects for Abdullah for a successful international career. He has all the data to soon make a name for himself in top MMA promotions,” noted Gala Sports Management representative in Turkmenistan Ilaman Beknazarov.

It is worth noting that Abdulla Babayev entered into an agreement with Gala Sports Management in December 2023 and became the 4th athlete of this sports organization along with boxer Yunus Kurbanov, MMA fighter Eziz Pendjiev and kickboxer Islam Rahmetov.

Let us recall that in 2023 Kurbanov won two victories in the welterweight division at Pravda Boxing tournaments. In August, he made a successful debut, defeating Dmitry Andreev by technical knockout in the 1st round. In December, Kurbanov again defeated Sergei Seliverstov by technical knockout, this time in the 4th round.

In November 2023, Eziz Penjiev won by submission over Russian Sergey Tolmachev at the AMC Fight Nights 120 tournament in Moscow. After an unsuccessful attempt by Tolmachev to move Penjiev to the top position, the Turkmen fighter threw a triangle and forced his opponent to surrender.

In November, Islam Rahmetov defeated Russian Ruslan Kiselev in his debut fight by unanimous decision at the FKR PRO 7 tournament in Sochi.
