Turkmenistan
1. A meeting was held in Ashgabat between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran Javad Ovji. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to interaction in the oil and gas sector.
2. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda. At the meeting, issues of holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation were discussed. It was also noted that the Embassy of Turkmenistan plans to organize a number of cultural events in Yerevan dedicated to the motto of 2024 - “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”.
3. The UN Development Program handed over another batch of medicines to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The supply of medicines was carried out within the framework of the project to combat non-communicable diseases, which is fully funded by the Government of Turkmenistan. This time, medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular, neurological and respiratory diseases worth more than 370 thousand USD were supplied.
4. A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the State Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar in Doha. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest. In particular, they discussed consular issues and opportunities for establishing contacts in the field of migration. The expediency of expanding the legal framework between the two countries was also noted.

6. According to the World Health Organization, there were 1,25 billion adult tobacco users worldwide in 2023. About one in five adults worldwide uses tobacco, up from one in three in 2000. According to the WHO report, 150 countries have made progress in reducing tobacco use. However, some countries are still experiencing an increase in tobacco use. The highest rates of tobacco product use are observed in the Southeast Asia region, where 26,5% of the population smokes. In second place is the European region, where 25,3% of the population consume tobacco in one form or another.
7. The city of Legrad, located in northern Croatia, has decided to take drastic measures to stop the outflow of residents. The city administration began selling empty houses at a symbolic price of 13-euro cents. Candidate buyers must meet the following conditions: be under 45 years of age, married, have no criminal record and do not own any other real estate. Couples with children have an advantage over other applicants. Croatian citizenship is not required. The small town of Legrad is located in a picturesque area on the border with Hungary. Now only about 2000 people live here, which is half as many as 70 years ago.

8. Athletes from Turkmenistan won two gold medals at the Asian Open Kyokushin Karate Championship, which was held in the Turkish city of Antalya. Yazmuhammet Ashirmuradov won a gold medal in the weight category up to 80 kg, and Murad Ekyaev became the winner in the weight category over 90 kg. Both athletes are multiple winners of national and international competitions.
9. The final basketball competition among university teachers took place at the sports complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports as part of the XIII Universiade under the motto “Turkmenistan – a country of inspiration and health.” 8 teams from different institutes of Ashgabat took part in the tournament. The home team won the decisive match with a score of 39:21. Experience and motivation played a key role in the success of the winners - the teachers of the sports university really wanted to win the tournament. The team leader was coach Kerim Kiyathanov, who scored more than half of his team's points. The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics took second place, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction took third place.
10. The Uzbekistan national team won a big victory over India with a score of 3:0 in the second match of the group stage of the Asian Cup in Qatar. All goals were scored in the first half. After two rounds, Australia leads group B with 6 points. Uzbekistan ranks second with 4 points. Next come Syria and India. In the final round, Uzbekistan will play with Australia for first place in the group. The two strongest teams in the group, as well as the four best teams that took third place, will advance to the 1/8 finals.
