During a working trip to Mary velayat, the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited a military airfield, TDH reports.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people got acquainted with the work of the airfield, examined the planes and helicopters available here, and also inquired about the service and social conditions of military pilots.
During the conversation, the head of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized the importance of fulfilling the tasks arising from the exclusively defensive nature of the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, committed to a neutral, friendly and good-neighborly policy. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that careful handling of military equipment and compliance with established runway standards for military aircraft are priority tasks.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people also focused on the issues of improving the professionalism of military personnel and bringing the activities of military and law enforcement agencies in line with the requirements of the time.
