The international cooperation
Turkmenistan and the UAE signed 5 important documents aimed at expanding cooperation in key areas. In particular, the state concern “Turkmengas” and the national oil company of the UAE ADNOC signed memorandums of understanding. They relate to attracting strategic partners for the development of the Galkynysh field, construction of gas pipelines to export gas to the region, as well as reducing methane emissions.
Another important document is the cooperation agreement between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and First Abu Dhabi Bank. In addition, the “Turkmenneft” state concern and the Dragon Oil company signed a memorandum to expand cooperation in the oil and gas industry. And the aviation departments of the two countries are for the development of air traffic.
Fuel and Energy Complex
The Nebitgazçykaryş (“Oil and Gas Production”) trust in the Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan received 30 powerful bulldozers purchased from the People’s Republic of China. The equipment will be used to develop the oil and gas fields of the velayat, and will also be distributed for construction and installation work at various trust facilities.
Employees of the Lebapgazçykaryş department of the “Turkmengas” state concern fulfilled their gas production obligations in 2023 more than a month ahead of schedule. In total, Lebapgazçykaryş was supposed to produce 9 billion 875 million 120 thousand cubic meters of gas last year. By the end of November, production reached 9 billion 964,6 million cubic meters, or 103% of the annual plan.

Freight transportation
Turkmenistan will begin reconstruction of the “Garabogaz” customs post on the Turkmen-Kazakh border in early January 2024. The goal of the project is to expand the territory and increase the capacity of the customs post. The work should be completed by the end of this year.
Announcement
The Pension Fund of Turkmenistan addressed the country's entrepreneurs with a reminder of the need to pay pension contributions for the second half of 2023. Contributions must be paid between January 1 and February 15, 2024.
