2. Fashion shows of Turkmen national clothing will be held in Turkmenistan from January 7 to 9, timed to coincide with the inclusion of Ashgabat in the UNESCO network of creative cities. A series of events will be held at the Ashgabat Fashion House with the support of the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the city administration. Within the framework of the shows, there will be exhibitions of Turkmen national öýme scarves, national textiles “keteni” and Turkmen embroidery, carpets and rugs. Members of the creative association “Design Plus” will present their products.
3. The Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Flydubai airlines intend to establish cooperation in the field of pilot training. This is evidenced by the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties. The agreement provides for the possibility of Flydubai providing training services for Turkmen pilots at its certified training center on Boeing 737 aircraft.
4. The Magtymguly Turkmen State University is accepting documents for admission to undergraduate scholarship programs at universities in China and Hungary. Turkmen boys and girls can choose for free education such areas as IT, medicine, pedagogy, agriculture, engineering and natural sciences. Preference for admission is given to candidates who have successfully passed the international SAT, TOEFL or IELTS exams. Acceptance of documents started on January 3 and will last until January 10.

5. On January 6, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Christmas and Epiphany - one of the main church holidays of the year. It is dedicated to the birth of Jesus Christ and his baptism in the Jordan River. For Armenian Christians, these two events are inextricably linked, therefore they are celebrated on the same day. 6. A Nigerian artist has broken the world record for the longest drawing time. He stayed at the easel for 100 hours straight, which is 40 hours more than the previous record set in 2013. In order to break the record, the artist had to create recognizable images without resorting to abstraction.
