The Asian Cup will be held in Qatar from January 12 to February 10, 2024. 24 national teams will take part in the tournament. Based on the results of the group stage, the 2 best teams from each group, as well as 4 teams that took third place, will advance to the playoffs. The games will take place in 8 stadiums, including 6 arenas for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Initially, China was supposed to be the host, but in May 2022 the country abandoned the organization of the tournament due to the pandemic.
Based on the results of the draw, which took place in May 2023, the composition of 6 groups was determined. The hosts of the tournament, the Qatar national team, ended up in the first basket.

- Group B: Uzbekistan, Australia, Syria, India;
- Group C: Iran, UAE, Hong Kong, Palestine;
- Group D: Japan, Indonesia, Iraq, Vietnam;
- Group E: Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Jordan, Bahrain;
- Group F: Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Oman.
The Japanese team has the most victories at the Asian Cup (4). The teams of Saudi Arabia and Iran won 3 times each. The current champion is the Qatar national team, which will defend its title at the home tournament.
