To decorate the main New Year tree of Turkmenistan, 4 thousand toys and 55 thousand LED light bulbs will be used, reports the IIC.
The New Year's tree on the square of the “Alem” cultural and entertainment center in Ashgabat was constructed from natural fir branches brought from Siberia.
The top of the tree is decorated with an octagonal star with the inscription 2024. The New Year tree is surrounded by monitors that display swimming fish - symbols of 2024 according to the Turkmen national calendar.
The main entrance to the square also consists of monitors, creating a kind of aquarium-tunnel for visitors.
On New Year's Day, a mini-fair will be set up near the main tree, where gifts will be distributed to the younger generation on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
The New Year's tree on the square of the “Alem” cultural and entertainment center will light its lights on the evening of December 15.
