The National Electronic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan (TMESF) announced new changes to the annual “Federation Cup” tournament. Next year, the tournament will feature three additional disciplines: PUBG Mobile, eFootball 24 and Tekken 7.
Registration for the tournament is already open on the federation website.
Federation President Mekan Eyeberdyev noted that the decision to open registration four months before the start of the tournament was made so that players and teams had more time to prepare for the competition.
Secretary General of the Federation Nazar Udeumuradov said that TMESF’s negotiations with the developers of PUBG Mobile, Tencent Games, were not easy, but in the end, it was possible to obtain reliable data on the statistics of PUBG Mobile in Turkmenistan. According to him, PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular games in the country, and its inclusion in the “Federation Cup” will increase the attractiveness of Turkmenistan in the international e-sports arena.
The prize fund of the tournament in 2024 will be 36 thousand manats. It will be distributed as follows: Dota 2 – 10 000 manats, Counter Strike 2 – 10 000 manats, PUBG Mobile – 10 000 manats, eFootball – 3000 manats, Tekken 7 – 3000 manats.
It is important to note that the winner of each discipline will receive the right to compete in the regional World Esports Championship games under the auspices of the International Esports Federation (IESF).
The World Esports Championship in 2024 will be held in the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Thus, next year the “Federation Cup” will become even larger and more attractive for e-sportsmen from Turkmenistan.
