Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamurat Geldimyradov presented a report on the country's macroeconomic indicators for 11 months of this year at the regular government meeting, which took place on Friday, TDH reports.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, sustainable development is being ensured in all sectors of the economy and regions, and the social and living standards of the population are increasing. This is confirmed by GDP growth, which during the reporting period amounted to 6.3%.
“Compared to the same period last year, production overall increased by 6.6%. “Based on the results of eleven months of this year, the volume of retail trade turnover compared to the same period in 2022 is 9.9% more,” Geldimyradov noted.
He also said that the foreign trade turnover indicator compared to the corresponding period last year was at 96%.
The execution of the revenue side of the State budget for January–November 2023 amounted to 109.8%, expenditure – 98%.
“For large and medium-sized enterprises, the average monthly wage increased by 9.9% compared to the same period last year,” the Deputy Prime Minister added, emphasizing that wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were financed in a timely manner.
