Today in Turkmenistan, in the city of Mary, the youth forum “New Era of the Great Silk Road” starts. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants and guests of the forum.
“I am convinced that the current event, which brought together young representatives of science, education, culture, art, the parliaments of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China, as well as ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Program for the countries of Central Asia and China, will be of great importance in determining specific ways to develop international cooperation in the field of youth policy,” says the congratulatory Message.
The main goal of the forum is to strengthen cooperation between youth in such areas as climate change and environmental sustainability, education, science and innovation, culture and art. The forum will also discuss the rich experience of neutral Turkmenistan in strengthening peace and friendship, the role of youth in the revival of the Great Silk Road.
The goal of the forum is to combine the capabilities of the countries of Central Asia and China in addressing issues of education, science, culture, and youth policy. Taking into account the interests of achieving universal peace, this will open up prospects for the formation of qualitatively new relations based on mutually beneficial cooperation between countries and peoples.
“Holding a festival within the framework of the forum with the participation of masters of culture and art from the countries of Central Asia and the People’s Republic of China will further strengthen the friendly and fraternal relations of our peoples,” the President emphasized.
Independent neutral Turkmenistan is always open to the world and will continue to do all the necessary work to strengthen peace and security on planet Earth.
In Turkmenistan, the motto for 2023 is “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar.” This year, the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly joined the UNESCO Global Youth Community, a structure of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The “Strategy for International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030” was adopted.
“All this is an opportunity for the further development of international youth cooperation,” the head of state concluded, wishing the participants good health, a happy and prosperous life and great success in their activities, TDH reports.
